action ai turns quick notes about people you meet into contacts, follow-ups and talking points. It is operated by Alexander Macdonald, United Kingdom ("we"). By creating an account you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
action ai is in open beta. Features may change, and while we work hard on reliability (including automated test gates on every release), we can't promise uninterrupted or error-free service during beta.
Anyone can create an event and share a join code or link; anyone who joins captures their own contacts privately, exactly as in section 4. If you host an event, you may optionally verify a domain (via a DNS record or a privileged mailbox — admin@ / postmaster@ — at that domain) to get an "Official" badge, and add a brand kit. Verification is machine-decided and first-verified-wins; there's no in-app process to dispute or contest another account's already-verified claim — email us if you believe one was verified in error. Two commitments apply with no exceptions, enforced by an automated check on every release: the outbound "next edition" link you set is a bare URL we never append attendee data to, and there is no feature to export or list who joined your event — hosts see aggregate counts only.
Don't use action ai to: store data you have no right to hold; harvest or scrape contact lists; spam; harass; probe or overload the service; or break the law. Fair-use limits apply to AI features and are shown in-app. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or other people.
The AI extracts what it hears — it can mishear, misattribute or miss things. Outputs are assistance, not records of truth: review the capture sheet before saving, and don't rely on the AI for anything where an error would be serious. The service is provided "as is" within the limits of section 9.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings — deletion is immediate and cascades through your data (see Privacy Policy). We may terminate accounts for breach of section 6, with export available first except in cases of serious abuse.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law (including fraud). Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data beyond our backup obligations, and our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or £50 if you're on Free). You use outputs of the AI at your own judgement per section 7.
We may update these terms; material changes will be flagged in-app with reasonable notice. Continuing to use the service after notice means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, and the courts of Scotland have jurisdiction — though nothing removes protections you have as a consumer where you live.
