Terms of Service

1 · The service

action ai turns quick notes about people you meet into contacts, follow-ups and talking points. It is operated by Alexander Macdonald, United Kingdom ("we"). By creating an account you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

2 · Beta

action ai is in open beta. Features may change, and while we work hard on reliability (including automated test gates on every release), we can't promise uninterrupted or error-free service during beta.

3 · Plans and billing

• Free is free forever: up to 30 saved contacts, with monthly AI capture and scan allowances shown in-app.
• Plus (£7.49/month) and Pro (£21.99/month) are billed monthly through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record — they process your payment; card details never touch our systems. Team seat pricing is agreed per organisation.
• Cancelling: two clicks from Account. You keep paid features until the end of the period you've paid for; nothing already captured is clawed back. If a payment fails or is refunded, access likewise runs to the end of the paid period.
• Prices include UK VAT unless stated ex-VAT.

4 · Your content and other people's data

• Your notes, contacts, events and tasks are yours. We claim no ownership; you grant us only the licence needed to run the service (store, process with the AI providers listed in the Privacy Policy, sync, back up).
• Notes naturally contain details about people you meet. You are responsible for using that lawfully — record what you were told or handed, use it for the relationship it came from, and honour requests to be forgotten. Organisations deploying action ai for staff are responsible for their lawful basis and can request our data processing agreement.
• Share messages you send always carry the line "Remembered with action ai · https://actionai.club". It isn't removable at any tier — it's how the product spreads instead of ads.

5 · Acceptable use

Don't use action ai to: store data you have no right to hold; harvest or scrape contact lists; spam; harass; probe or overload the service; or break the law. Fair-use limits apply to AI features and are shown in-app. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or other people.

6 · AI limitations

The AI extracts what it hears — it can mishear, misattribute or miss things. Outputs are assistance, not records of truth: review the capture sheet before saving, and don't rely on the AI for anything where an error would be serious. The service is provided "as is" within the limits of section 8.

7 · Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings — deletion is immediate and cascades through your data (see Privacy Policy). We may terminate accounts for breach of section 5, with export available first except in cases of serious abuse.

8 · Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law (including fraud). Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data beyond our backup obligations, and our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or £50 if you're on Free). You use outputs of the AI at your own judgement per section 6.

9 · Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be flagged in-app with reasonable notice. Continuing to use the service after notice means you accept the updated terms.

10 · Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, and the courts of Scotland have jurisdiction — though nothing removes protections you have as a consumer where you live.
